Welcome to South Lakes Wild Animal Park
We are located in Cumbria, was developed and built solely by David Gill. The park first opened in 1994. The park gets hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
We have animals from all over the world, including the following places:
They have everything from lions and tigers, to kangaroos and flamingos. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park strives to protect and conserve many different animals, with conservation projects in places like Peru and Africa. The park even lets people "adopt" animals in the park. Of course, people are not allowed to bring the animals home, but can contribute toward feeding a specific animal in exchange for a picture of the animal with a certificate of adoption.
We offer educational days for school groups and interactive experiences that really give you the opportunity to get up close to our animals.
You can wander amongst kangaroos, watch birds soar overhead, and take a walk through the aviary.
