Discover a watery wonderland on the banks of the River Thames.
The SEA LIFE London Aquarium takes you into the world's rivers, lakes, oceans and wetlands, proving that our’s is a blue planet. We are located on the South Bank of the River Thames between the London Eye in Jubilee Gardens and Westminster Bridge.
But you’ll feel a million miles away from all that when you enter the aquarium. You’ll explore numerous zones - including the Coral Kingdom, Ocean Invaders and Polar Adventure - illuminated tanks allow you to observe the wildlife in real-life HD.
From tiny fish with striking colours to ocean giants like sharks and turtles and even land-dwelling amphibians and penguins, you’ll see it all here. In total, individuals of more than 500 different species live here in more than 2 million litres of water and dry or mixed enclosures.
Since opening in 1997, we’ve been welcoming around a million visitors a year to gawp at the animals, take unique photos and learn something new. With a schedule of feeding and talks from the professionals on our team, accessibility for wheelchairs and children’s buggies and toilets, we are fully set up for your visit.
Behind the scenes, we’re committed to the protection of the beautiful lifeforms that live in the aquatic environment and the habitats themselves. We have numerous conservation projects which include our charity, SEA LIFE TRUST, a Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland and the programme entitled Breed, Rescue, Protect. The goal of these initiatives is to make sure that future generations will enjoy nature and wildlife both inside and outside the aquarium.
