Stratus Sailing, a company with many years of experience in the world of sailing and provides a wide range of activities and courses, access to modern vessels and high-quality service. We are located in Bangor Marina in Bangor, Northern Ireland.

Our company aims to be a perfect place where people who love the sea and boating can gather and spend time in the company of like-minded individuals and learn from them. We offer a comprehensive list of learning programs, from absolute beginner to improver and advanced sailing, as well as powerboating courses and taster sailing sessions all year round. Our enthusiastic, highly skilled instructors are passionate about sailing and they will try to pass onto you at least part of it while you learn more about this exciting world. Clients may also be interested in seamanship skills, sailing with spinnakers or racing skills, as well as

Stratus Sailing is a company dedicated to providing high-quality powerboating courses for those interesting in obtaining their powerboating certifications in a great environment and by the hands of the very best. Our base is located in Bangor, on Northern Irish shores, where the waters provide the perfect learning conditions.

Our sailing centre provides a complete list of powerboating courses that take the student from zero knowledge, absolute beginner level to an advanced user able to manoeuvre him or herself in any situation by the end of the lessons. You will learn everything you need to know about powerboating at the hands of our passionate instructors, who guide you every step of the way and aim to make the lessons interesting and dynamic. You will see firsthand that we are the ideal teachers!

The courses we provide are certified by the RYA. Children can enrol as well, as long as they are 8 years or older. However, take note of the fact that minors under 16 will receive an endorsed certificate. There are three powerboating levels available at our centre:

• Powerboat Level 1: It is aimed at beginners with no previous knowledge and seeks to provide all the key, basic powerboating concepts that will serve as a solid foundation for more advanced programs.
   
• RYA Powerboat Level 2: Students will learn seamanship and boat handling for powerboats, improves and adds new skills to those acquired in the previous course.
   
• Safety Boat Course: This is a program that allows pupils to specialise in safety and rescue covers for other vessels and water users in different situations including water races and activities. It is a very practical session with a hands-on approach.

At Stratus Sailing we are passionate about the sea, water activities in general and Sailing in particular. As a result, we strive to share some of that passion with anyone who is interested in the world of sailing. Based in Bangor, Northern Ireland you can find us at the Bangor Marina.

We offer a comprehensive list of learning programs, from absolute beginner to improver and advanced sailing and taster sailing sessions at any time of the year. Our highly trained instructors love their work and sharing their sailing knowledge with others, which means that our clients are always in good hands and are guaranteed to enjoy a fun and dynamic learning environment.

The sailing courses are RYA-certified and are open to all experience levels and children aged 12 years and above. They have a duration of two days which can be taken in the same number of days or divided between various days. The following levels are available:

• RYA Keelboat Level 1: Perfect for absolute beginners, it covers the basics of sailing and boat handling.
   
• RYA Keelboat level 2: A continuation of Level 1, it builds upon the knowledge acquired there and allows the student to sail in good weather conditions.
   
• RYA Keelboat level 3: An advanced level that takes and improves what you have learned before, taking your sailing skills to the next level and preparing you for more specific courses.

We also provide high-level programs that allow students to focus on different sailing disciplines including seamanship skills, sailing with spinnakers and racing skills.
