We live on a blue planet, so come and discover the ocean!
We are Padstow Sealife Safaris, a boat tour operator based in the charming seaside town of Padstow. On our doorstep is the Celtic Sea, a beautiful extension of the Atlantic Ocean which is home to all kinds of wildlife. We run trips from Padstow harbour, along the Camel Estuary and out to sea around the stunning North Cornwall coastline.
The wonderful thing about wildlife watching and coastal exploration is that every outing is different. Having said that, we know when and where we’re most likely to find our most regular visitors like seals, dolphins and puffins. Other animals we might see include bluefin tuna, minke whales, ocean sunfish and many species of seabirds.
We have a range of boat trips on offer. Our most regular tours are one to two hours long and take place on powerboats. We have three 11-metre RIBS which are ideal for searching for marine life and birds and getting some fantastic views. Our longer trips take place on a cabined boat. We go as far as the Scilly Isles off the tip of the Cornish Peninsula. We also offered skippered boat hire for families, groups, special occasions and corporate events.
The availability of the tours varies with the seasons, so check our activity calendars and contact us if you have any questions!

So little time, so much to see…
But Padstow Sealife Safaris will take you Powerboating to ensure that you take in as much of the beauty of our local area as possible. We tour the stunning coastline, full of secret coves and spectacular rock formations, and track down the incredible, varied wildlife that inhabits this environment.
Cornwall has always had a strong relationship with the sea, and here in Padstow we have access to the Camel Estuary, the Celtic Sea and can even make trips out towards the Atlantic Ocean. We often visit seal and puffin colonies, search out schools of dolphins and keep our eyes peeled for more uncommon animals like porpoises, Portuguese man-o-war and basking sharks.
Our 10-metre RIBs are perfect for short trips out onto the ocean in search of wildlife. They’re fast, manoeuvrable and allow you to see animals in detail without peering through windows or railings. We also have boats with cabins for longer boat trips and we can offer our RIBs for hire.
Climb aboard, strap in and keep your eyes open - we’re going on the powerboat wildlife tour of your life!

What lies beyond, between and beneath the waves?
Come on a Boat Trip with Padstow Sea Safaris and you’ll discover the enchanted world of the Celtic Sea, the arm of the Atlantic that separates Cornwall from southwest Wales and the Irish Sea. From the intricate coast of North Cornwall to the open seas, this is a beautiful environment that boats high biodiversity - so grab your binoculars!
We sail out from Padstow Harbour at the mouth of the Camel Estuary. For our longer boat tours we use a cabined RIB with indoor and outdoor seating and toilet facilities. Our itineraries lead along the coast in both directions and even as far as the archipelago of the Scilly Isles, flung out in the Atlantic Ocean. On the way we’ll spot bird, animal and fish species of all shapes and sizes, from seals to whales and puffins to bluefin tuna.
We also run shorter tours in our powerful RIBs up the estuary and onto the Celtic Sea. Our boats are available for hire as well, an original idea for a corporate event, personal celebration or family treat!
Time and tide wait for no one, so we run tours in all seasons. Check out what’s on offer and book your boat trip today!
