Newtownards is an informal sailing and windsurfing club in Ards. We are situated about 4 miles South of Newtownards on the A20 to Portaferry.
We can practice watersports at all states of tide. We also enjoy clear and undisturbed wind patterns that are ideal for racing conditions.
What´s more, we are surrounded by shore islands, which makes it extremely difficult for boats or boards to be carried out to sea.

Newtownwards Windsurfing is located 4 miles South of Newtownards on the A20 to Portaferry. We provide perfect windsurfing conditions for many club members.
The prevailing wind and wave conditions are excellent and ideal for beginners and intermediate windsurfers to practice on.
Our beginners club runs from spring to autumn and there is a full rescue boat always on-site. Our qualified instructors will show you the ropes and make practicing easier than it looks.
You will progress at a steady but sure pace and our lessons are available on demand for members and non-members alike.
