Welcome to Mepal Outdoor Centre Canoeing in Cambridgeshire.

Our sheltered lake is the ideal place to learn how to paddle a canoe. Canoes are large open boats, which are fairly stable and you will rely on a single bladed paddle to move through the water.

We aim to make our sessions lots of fun and you will get wet, which is why we provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids for everyone involved.

Our sheltered waters make us the ideal place to learn and improve your windsurfing skills. You will be coached by professional, RYA qualified instructors that ensure your safety at all times.

We are a registered RYA training school and all our courses include logbooks and certificates. We offer the following windsurfing course:

• RYA Windsurf Adult (Beginners)

We use modern stable Hi-Fly Revo and Magnum boards with reduced rigs that will make sure that your first experience of windsurfing is a good one.

Mepal Outdoor Centre Paintball caters for groups of 12 -30 players. Your success is dependent on teamwork, co-operation, planning and strategy. It is important to have a plan!

Our site has a number of different playing areas, including:

• Woodland
• Beach
• Hill Fort
• Village

We design our games to incorporate a variety of terrain so that you get the best possible paintball experience and can use each area to your advantage in the game.

We provide:

• Protective overalls
• Face mask
• Snood

We also recommend that you bring gloves, loose fitting clothing and sturdy boots.

You will be using a Tippmann or Mercury paintball marker in the field and our experienced marshals will show you how to use your weapons correctly and safely before the game begins.

Welcome to Mepal Outdoor Centre Climbing in Cambridgeshire.

We make climbing accessible to everyone interested in finding out more or wanting to improve their technique.

Our climbing courses are as follows:

• Climbing Coaching Beginners (Adult)

• Public Climbing
• Climbing Club

We believe in teaching the principal safety techniques first before attempting to climb. It is important that you understand how the equipment works.

All you will need to bring is warm, comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes or trainers.

Climbing is a great social sport and once you gain confidence it can be great fun too!

Welcome to Mepal Outdoor Centre Archery in Cambridgeshire.

Our archery club is a popular event among children and adults. It runs fortnightly on Sunday mornings with a professional instructor that is on-hand to assist and coach.

The places are limited and we recommend that you book in advance.

We have an outdoor archery range and a large selection of different sized bows, enabling us to cater for almost everyone interested.

Archery is a great sport and the competitive element will get your adrenalin pumping. The aim is to hit the bull´s eye in order to receive the maximum number of points. It’s not as easy as it looks but with our help your shooting technique will develop quickly.
