At Kent Kiteboarding School, Kitesurfing and powerkiting tuition is available from complete beginner to competition standard, by the first IKO kitesurfing or kiteboarding instructor in Kent. We have a full range of courses and lessons.
All of our teaching sites are less than an hour from the M25 motorway, giving good accessibility from London and the South East region.
Kent Kiteboarding School is run by James Stickels, a pioneer of kitesurfing with over 11 years of riding experience and over 9 years of worldwide teaching experience. INTRODUCTION TO POWER KITING
This is a great way for anyone to experience the sport of power kiting, before tackling the more challenging sport of kitesurfing. This is a fun non technical session, ideal for families and groups. By the end of this session you will be able to launch and land the kites safely, have good understanding of the wind and kites’ power and most importantly have fun when flying kites. A minimum of 2 persons is needed for the session to commence.
BEGINNER COURSE
The beginner course is designed to accommodate complete beginners and aims to have them up and riding at the end of 2days (IKO Level 2). The course can be split into four sessions/modules lasting 2.5-3 hours each. The sessions are structured to cover everything that is needed for you to progress in the sport of kitesurfing. We prefer to use a one kite per student system with the beginners’ course, which aims to get you riding as quickly and safely as possible, by maximising the practical flying time and the coaching time. We can tailor a session to accommodate any level of kitesurfer. From going upwind to unhooked kite loops’, you can improve with Kent Kiteboarding School Kitesurfing.
FEEL SAFE/ ADVANCED SESSION
The feel safe/advanced session is aimed at existing kitesurfers that have their own gear but do not feel comfortable in going to the beach alone, or want some tips on the latest trick. You can come to one of our safe teaching locations and we can assist with launching, landing and offer advice on how to progress in kitesurfing.
