The Island Youth Water Activities Centre provides a great opportunity for young people and future instructors of all ages to experience a great range of Watersports with this charitable foundation.

Our team of dedicated and experienced instructors will teach you a range of skills in an exciting experience that includes Watersports such as kayaking, sailing, yachting and powerboating. As well as providing great experiences for those new to the watersport of their choice, we also provide training for those looking to become instructors themselves up to the necessary national standard.

Kayaking is a sport that everyone can enjoy, you don't need a great amount of training or fitness to enjoy this fantastic sport. Our experienced instructors will kit you out with your buoyancy aid, spraydecks and helmet, pick up your double bladed paddle and off you go!

If this is your first time or you are looking for a longer expedition, we will give you the training you need to enjoy this fun activity to it's fullest with our great huge fleet of canoes and kayaks and fantastic locations.

Dinghy sailing is the perfect way to gain an introduction to this exciting sport, or to further advance your skills, join Island Youth Water Activities Centre Sailing in the great sailing waters of the Isle of Wight for a great experience.

We have a fleet of over 20 single person and two person dinghies which provide a great platform for learning how to sail through the simpler mechanics and total self reliance. Your fully qualified instructor will teach you according to the Royal Yachting Assocation syllabus, skills and techniques perfect for your own level of experience to help you understand the art of sailing and progress further to the point you want to reach.

If you have ever wanted to experience the thrill of being under sail on a beautiful racing yacht, the come along to the Island Youth Water Activities Centre Yacht Charters and enjoy the beautiful waters of the Isle of Wight for yourself.

Our superb Seaquest 32 "Paddiywack" is a fully appointed racing yacht with 8 berths which is as much at home racing on the high seas as it is for fast cruising.

She is available for sailing courses from the Royal Yachting Association as well as for racing charters with a full set of race sails and commercially coded as a category 2 yacht, she has a full racing inventory.
Our courses are nationally recognised so even if you cannot return to continue to improve your yachting skills, you can simply get involved with another RYA accredited training centre.

We have 4 boats to offer training from the Royal Yachting Association, the national regulatory body including two rigid inflatable boats, Avon Searider RIB's powered by the latest generation 50hp Evinrude E-TEC engines, for those just starting out we use our two Jeanneau Newmatic's with their 15hp outboard motors.

We offer a range of courses perfect for boaters of all levels of experience starting at the level 1 or introduction, the level 2 or National Powerboat Certificate as well as a range of more advanced courses for those that would like to progress even further.
