Most people know these reliable and stable craft as ‘Canadian’ Open Canoes, they are a great way to get into paddle sports whether you have had experience or not as they are easy to paddle and navigate. Each canoe can take 2 people and you will need to work together to paddle in a straight line using your single bladed paddles. There is even enough space to take along a packed picnic, a tent, even the family dog along!

We offer training in accordance with the British Canoe union for young and old and all levels of experience with ½ day, 1 day and week long courses. Or you can combine your canoeing experience with our great range of activities.

Kayaks are very different for canoes, which they are sometimes mistaken for. With a Kayak you sit on the bottom of the boat, your legs straight out in front of you in the covered vessel as you propel yourself along using a double bladed paddle.

These do take a degree of skill to balance in and keep your body out of the water so for those with less experience we also have sit on top kayaks that are much more stable and easy to paddle.

We offer nationally recognised courses in kayaking through the British Canoe Union syllabus with courses ranging from a week to or a day or even a half day experience. This unique rafting experience demands that everyone in the team works as a cohesive unit as you will need to build a raft out of the materials we supply that will keep everyone high and dry.

You will be accompanied by an instructor at all times who will ensure everyone remains safe as you paddle out onto the water racing against the other teams. The real challenge comes on the shore as you work together to figure out the best way distribute everyone's weight and tie the wooden poles and water tight barrels together. You will soon see if your raft building skills are up to scratch or not!

Every day you will see our powerboats touring the waters of the Yateley and Moor Green Lakes as we not only use them as safety boats but also as platforms from which our instructors can deliver instruction from on the water. Being able to drive a powerboat opens so many more doors than this though as you can turn a day by the sea side into a pleasure cruise or experience a world of Watersports from diving to waterskiing so much more when you have the skills to pilot your vessel with care and safety.

We run group sessions and private classes with a syllabus directly from the national regulatory body, the Royal Yachting Association. The qualifications you gain here will be recognised, and can be built on anywhere in the United Kingdom.
