Family and water, that's what Engage Watersports is about. Family, because we were born as a family company that worships the most important things in life: unity, love, deep laces and commitment. Water because, from the beginning, we have worked, like if we were ducks, in the water. And we could tell you that we do and offer different activities for your family, for you and your groups of friends (which are the family that we choose) and even for you as an individual who feels a strong connection with water, thanks to our wide range of sports activities: kayaking, canoeing and Stand Up Paddle (SUP).
Ok, ok, we know... This information is quite general, so let's get more comfortable now we have introduced ourselves and let's get into deeper details.
Engage Watersports is in Taplow (Buckinghamshire), a beautiful village that will remind you of those that we find in Jane Austen's novels. We are also pretty close to the famous Maidenhead Bridge, over the Thames River, and we have all kinds of connections for you to arrive here: by road, passing by Slough or Amerden Lane on the west; the Thames Valley on the east; or the train station of Taplow, from where you can come by walking in just 15 minutes.
In addition, our landscape is fantastic, a privilege to behold! We have the Jubilee River on the left, which is, as you know, a channel that was built to help with the overflows of the Thames River throughout the year; and the Taplow Lake on the right, considered one of the best areas of the country for practising water sports.
In addition, most of you love having coffee and cakes in the beautiful landscape that surrounds us and our team will not only be pleased to help you and teach you, but to answer all kinds of questions about our town, about this hidden treasure in England. And who is our Activities Director? But indeed, Chris Beal, a watersports expert who has been in this business for more than a decade and has gained his experience not only in our country but around Europe. Also, we count on Dave Foley, an expert with over 12 years of experience and a title from the Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT), with which he has learned tips and abilities to make you feel safe.
And one last thing: we all love snacks, so our Café is affordable and you'll find tasty refreshments to truly make your day with us the most perfect one in weeks!
All our reviews are verified. 100% of customers have enjoyed this activity
The tuition was excellent. The young people were encouraged at all times which was important when it was difficult and tiring.
The different age groups were catered for. It was a very successful week and the boys are now much more confident when kayaking.

Our adventure is like no other and we know that you've heard these kind of arguments before, but wait and see: at Engage Watersports, we offer a 2-hour session to enjoy Canoeing, a sport that although it's similar to kayaking, it has some differences. For example, you will learn that you have to kneel and paddle with one single "stick" from left to right while you feel the water bouncing under your body.
In order to do that, we have prepared a program where you are very welcome though you don't have previous experience and where we will provide the required tools to become addicted to this activity: from paddle to instructions and safety garments. See? That's great, because you only need to come wearing a comfy outfit and get ready to get into it.
In addition, we've been here for a very long time now and our connections with this land and this water are strong as roots. Did you know that Chris Beal, our main instructor, has been linked to the field for more than 12 years and counting and that he is known for his personal skills, such as his patience and friendly manners? This is always great because, in the end, when we try or repeat an experience, we want it to be as best as possible and the people behind it are always an issue to keep in mind.
At the same time, the course is perfect for groups. Families, friends or even children can enjoy canoeing without any problem. Actually, we recommend it to people of all ages: little boys and girls (minimum 6), teenagers, men, women or pensioners. We have put all our efforts so you all live canoeing at its fullest, take advantage of our easy and fun tuition and discover how your body feels empowered and relaxed after the exercise. Oh, and by the way, you can recharge your energy with some refreshments at our Café's, a cosy place at a very affordable price.
Don't miss the opportunity and book now! Canoeing is waiting for you and Taplow and our team too!

In sessions of 2 hours, without the need of a previous experience required and in a location that will take your breath away: Taplow (Buckinghamshire), a town in England which is nationwide known as an English hidden village at the feet of Taplow Lake. Did you know that we have the perfect and one of the best places to practise Kayaking?
Moreover, although we know that you may be nervous at the beginning, we also count with the expertise of great instructors like Chris Beal, a professional with over 12 years in the field and who will be pleased to welcome you on board.
Our activity doesn't require any special equipment. We will give you all, from paddles to safe jackets, all included in the final price. Also, we remind you that we have a great Café where you can have coffee, tea and snacks at a very affordable price. And, as Engage Watersports was born as a family company, we love you to come with yours or with your group of colleagues because, as we always say, friends are the family that we choose in life.
So, are you going to miss this opportunity? You have the perfect location (Taplow); a great place to do Kayaking (Taplow Lake); great teachers and a team who is ready to give you all; and all the facilities to get here by car (you will see the pretty Maidenhead Bridge on your way) or by train (our hometown station is at 15 minutes from our installations). Oh, and of course, as you paddle down the Jubilee River, you will feel the magic of the Thames River!
Book now! You will love it!

SUP. The abbreviation may sound strange if you have never tried this water sport, so popular nowadays since celebrities like Rihanna or Tom Brady were spotted practising it. But what if we tell you that behind those three letters we find the name standup paddleboarding? As rumour has it, the activity was born in Hawaii and it's a developed version of surfing. Actually, you have to stand on a board and paddle to move around the water.
Things cleared, we are on celebration because you don't need to travel to Lilo & Stitch's island to enjoy SUPing, but to get into your car, drive through the breathtaking Maidenhead Bridge or book your train ticket to arrive at Taplow (Buckinghamshire) and reach Taplow Lake (just a walk of around 15 minutes from the station), where we will promise that our sessions of 2 hours for you and your group (the minimum age recommended is 6) will not disappoint you, but will actually make you want to return and repeat (and, of course, feel like those celebs when you talk about your paddleboarding experience with us to your friends and relatives).
The goal of our team is to make you love this sport, to make you feel calm (have we said that equipment is included and provided at your arrival?) and to help you enjoy the nature and the space that surround us (the Thames River is always the perfect option to paddle around the Jubilee River!).
Also, our instructors are led by Chris Beal, someone who, apart from his long experience, always tries to join his knowledgeable and his attentive mood whenever you decide to start doing paddleboarding (we know that it will be soon because you're eager to try it!). And we do have to insist: Taplow Lake, where we are located, is a great place for walking, having a nice cup of coffee (we have a Café's too!) and enjoying fresh air far from the noisy big English cities. Don't wait any longer and come SUPing with us!
