It’s cool, it’s cutting edge, it’s E-Foiling Cornwall.
We are a Cornish watersports company that specialises in the most modern activities on the scene. E-Foiling is a kind of surfing, but it feels more like flying! You stand on a board which has a propeller attached to the underside by a connecting support of about 1 metre in length. The part that sits below the water also has a hydrofoil, which means that as you gain speed, lift is generated and the board lifts above the water’s surface!
We offer beginners’ lessons on our e-foils, as well as experiences and hire for those who already know what’s up. We keep our coaching personal, with private sessions and a maximum group size of 3 people. We also keep up with that other great watersports craze - paddleboarding. We run SUP sessions up the River Looe or to Looe Island, a popular hang out for seals.
For those that prefer to keep their feet dry, we have mountain bikes available for hire. But wait - these aren’t any ordinary bicycles, but e-bikes. With compact electric motors, covering ground is a doddle and not even hills can slow you down. They’re perfect for exploring the coastline and penetrating inland.
Our base is Plaidy Beach, outside the town of Looe in Cornwall. It’s a charming spot, with golden sands, grassy cliffs and crystal clear waters. Best of all, it’s near the border with Devon, so it’s closer to London than Newquay, St Ives and Penzance.
Enjoying the Cornish coast was never easier!

Cornwall is the country’s surfing capital, and it’s only natural that the capital boasts the latest in surf technology.
That’s why, at Cornwall E-Foiling, we’re delighted to bring you the revolutionary experience of - you guessed it - E-Foiling. If you’re wondering what it is, you’re in the right place. We’re committed to introducing newcomers to this sport, which involves riding a motorised surfboard that levitates above the waves!
The design of an e-foil includes an underwater hydrofoil with an electric motor and propeller. As the hydrofoil starts moving through the water, its shape makes it move upwards, which lifts the board - and the rider - into the air. Join us for an introductory session and we’ll guide you step by step through the learning process, until you’re standing on the board, cutting across the water.
For those who’ve already learnt how to use an e-foil, we also have a equipment hire service so that you can go off at your own pace. Our base on Plaidy Beach, part of Looe Bay, is perfect for this sport, with easy access to the sea, flat water and beautiful surroundings. It’s also a wonderful spot for paddleboarding and mountain biking (on e-bikes), the other sports that we offer.
Come on down for a unique e-foiling experience!

If you’re looking for a watersports activity that doesn’t miss a beat, keep reading!
E-Foiling Cornwall is a company that specialises in the cutting-edge watersport of e-foiling, but we haven’t forgotten about paddleboarding. This is one of the most popular watersports in Cornwall and around the UK, praised for its accessibility, excitement and social aspect.
Paddleboarding, or SUP, is also one of the best ways to explore rivers, lakes and the open sea. Our location on Plaidy Beach in Looe gives us access to wonderful places for a paddle. There’s the beach itself, Looe River - where we run a charming 2-hour tour - and the open sea. It’s possible to paddle from the coast to the nature reserve of Looe Island!
As well as our tours, we also offer paddleboarding equipment for hire. And if our e-foils catch your eye while you’re with us, we’ll be happy to tell you more about them and sign you up for a taster session. Alternatively, you might want to rent one of our fantastic e-bikes and go mountain biking.
We’re ready to do everything it takes to make your time in Cornwall perfect!

E-Foil Cornwall is primarily a watersports company, but you can’t spend all your time in the water. When you’ve got the urge to explore inland, along highways, byways and bridleways, take advantage of our bike rental service and pedal your way to a fantastic day.
We have a fleet of e-bikes available for hire which open up the world of cycle-sightseeing to everyone. Their electric motors work in collaboration with your pedal power, easing the strain on your legs and making a huge difference when tackling hills. You’re able to cover much larger distances with one of these machines than an ordinary bike, and we have both mountain bikes and step-through frames on offer.
Best of all is our location. Based in Looe, on the Cornish coast, there’s so much to explore. One of our best cycle routes takes you along the coast to Seaton, then up a river valley through a countryside park where you can complete a circuit and head back to Looe. It’s a 24-kilometre ride, but there’s a pub on the way where you can stop to refuel!
If you’re staying in Cornwall for a few days, why not ask about our e-foiling and paddleboarding opportunities? We have all the right stuff for your trip to the Southwest to be just perfect.
