Since 1992 Carsington Sports and Leisure have been fortunate to be situated in the beautiful location, offering a wide range of activities. These days our fully qualified instructors bring you a huge range of adventures in and around Carsington Water including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, powerboating, climbing and mountain biking. All of our instructors are fully qualified through their national regulatory body and more than capable of bringing you an adventure you will not soon forget.

This is fishing at its best, seven hundred and fifty acres of crystal clear water stocked weekly with brown and rainbow trout. Join Carsington Sports and Leisure Fishing for some of the best fly fishing in the Lake District.

Open from March until November, this stunning trout fishery is located in the tranquil heart of Derbyshire, trout range up to 5 lbs ensuring a good fight, and it you are inexperienced at fly fishing we have a team of local, experienced instructors who enjoy teaching casting and the skills required to help you land your perfect catch.

We give you a chance to get in the driver's seat with a range of nationally recognized courses designed to have people of all levels of experience get the fullest out of their boating experience in these small open powerboats. We have courses for adults over the age of 16, as well as a range of youth courses from refresher courses and introductions to boating up to our International Competance courses which will help you enjoy the versatility of boating, be it sailing, diving or water skiing, wherever you go.

At 7.3 metres high, our outdoor climbing wall provides climbing experiences for all with different graded routes so that you can find a rewarding challenge while everyone in your group can enjoy themselves, we also hold courses designed to teach you the more technical aspects of climbing, including ropework and proper setting up a climb. We have several routes in our stunning location perfect for all groups of riders, from families with children to those looking for a bit of a workout and a challenge, as well as bikes to suit all ages.
