Big Blue Watersports is based in Falmouth overlooking Carrick Roads. We offer;

• Windsurfing hire for people who want to try something a bit different.
• Cycle Hire for those who want to enjoy the ocean from land.
• Windsurfing lessons for all ages and skill levels
• Unsupervised kayak hire for both individuals and groups (sit on top and sea kayaks available). If required, a guide is available if booked in advance.
• Takeaway hire for those of you that want to go and see whats on offer at Gwithian, Daymer Bay, Marazion etc

Big Blue Watersports hire by the hour, day or week and have various kit available.

On site windsurfing is flat water with a bit of bump and jump in a easterly safety cover as well. Everything must be booked in advance. Contact Big Blue Watersports for more information. 

At Big Blue Watersports, sit on top kayaks are available for the hour, day or week with all safety kit included.

Carrick Roads is a lovely safe stretch of water to paddle on with a few secluded beaches and a couple of pubs to paddle to. For the more adventures there are sea kayaks available.  They are all composite boats with a selection of six, and the possability of another six if your a club or group who wants them for a few days. A group discount is available, contact Big Blue Watersports for more information.

These boats do not have to be taken with a guide as long as you can prove you can look after yourself or the group. Guides are available if required. Kayaks can be paddled one way and be picked up for extra charge.

Big Blue Watersports, based in Falmouth overlooking Carrick Roads offer takeaway windsurfing hire for the day or the week, so that you can go and explore Cornwall and see what it has to offer.  Some great bump and jump and down the line wave riding is in the area, and there are different kits are available to suit your needs. Hire includes safety cover on a flat stretch of water. Everything must be booked in advance.

For people who are interested in starting, or just need to brush up on their skills, Big Blue Watersports also offer  windsurfing lessons  with;

• An introduction to Windsurfing – for those who want to try it out.
• Carve Gybe clinics – A one to one course to improve your gybing technique.
• Waterstart clinics – A one to one course to improve your skills in the water.
• Harness and footrap clinics – A one to one course for intermediate levels to improve techniques.
• Bump and jump clinics – A one to one course, practising techniques to improve your sailing and convert challenging swells.
• Little tackers club – for ages 8-11, aimed at boosting children´s social and water confidence.
• Freestylers club – for  ages 12-16, giving young windsurfers the freedom to experiment under a watchful eye.

Not only do Big Blue Watersports have Kayaks and Windsurfing hire, you are also able to hire Mountain Bikes from them as well.  If the weather is too much for you to enjoy the watersports, or you would prefer to admire the ocean from afar, hiring Mountain Bikes is a great way to experience the outdoors.

All bikes available for hire come with a repair kit, a lock and a map with some routes around the area. Choose between the good off road biking available in the area, or the miles of traffic free routes, with quiet lanes and healthy fresh air.

If you have young children with you, Big Blue Watersports can supply kiddies trailers and baby seats, so that everyone can enjoy the ride. By prior arrangement, Big Blue Watersports can also supply you with a rear-mounted cycle rack for your car if you would like to go even further.
