Essex Outdoors Mersea is on the edge of the river Blackwater, located on the stunning island of Mersea, which gives us the chance to enjoy a remarkable landscape. We offer a big range of exciting outdoor activities for individuals, groups of friends and families that can be taster sessions as well as longer courses and they are suitable for participants aged 8 and upwards. 

Essex Outdoors Mersea can accommodate up to 500 visitors at the same time. We offer tents, log cabins and a newly built residential centre with bunk beds. We are proud to say that our atmosphere is homely and welcoming, which keeps visitors coming back again and again.

After our recent refurbishment, our centre provides a wide range of facilities including a conference room for up to 40 people, a laundry room, dining rooms, a shower block with amenities for disabled users and a big screen cinema room.

You can choose among different activities, such as canoeing, climbing, archery, caving, high ropes, mountain biking, kayaking and many more!
