Welcome to 1st Clyde Yacht Training, where you can come and learn everything there is to know about sailing and learn when it´s convenient for you. Sailing is a wonderfully engaging activity that everyone can enjoy and in fact it quite often turns into a lifelong passion!

This is an RYA certified training centre which means you will always receive top training and no matter what you are looking to learn or to improve. They offer a brilliant environment for their training, the Largs Yacht Haven, which offers all the recreational facilities you can wish for.

Their main motto is flexibility, something which you will always experience in your training. Families and groups are welcome as well. It´s the perfect opportunity for an original and unique day of adventure!

How to get there?
By Car From Glasgow Airport on the M8 follow the signs for Greenock. Continue until you come to Port Glasgow which continues into Greenock and then follow the signs for Largs on the A78. You will go through Inverkip, Wemyss Bay and Skelmorlie and then into Largs. Continue straight through Largs passing through the Morrison’s roundabout until you come to the traffic lights at the top of the hill (Haylie Brae). Continue through - marina is on the right at the bottom of the hill. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Prestwick follow the coast road sign posted Greenock. After rounding the bypass at Ardrossan, travel through Seamill, Fairlie and then Largs Marina is on the left. The journey takes about 1 hour. Follow signs for the Marina car park. Approach the Road Barrier and press the button to contact Marina reception. The Marina can open the barrier remotely from the office and then park within the secure area. Immediately to the South are the Pontoons and your yacht will be on E Pontoon berth number 14. By Train From Glasgow Central or Paisley Gilmour Street take the Largs train. This runs hourly. Largs is at the end of the track (turnaround back to Glasgow). Taxis are located immediately at the front of the station and are approx £4 per trip to the marina. It is possible to walk to the marina from the town centre but with a large heavy pack this can seem some distance - approximately 20 minutes walk along the seafront or call Brisbane Taxis on 01475 689990. By Plane Use either Glasgow or Prestwick Airports they are roughly the same distance by car. Then either a taxi or train. From Glasgow Airport the rail link bus takes you to Gilmour Street Railway Station which has direct services to Largs. Prestwick Airport has a dedicated station. However change at Kilwinning Station for Largs.
