First Flight Paragliding

Welcome to First Flight Paragliding!

First Flight Paragliding is a company based in Northern Ireland which was founded in 1996, being among the first to offer paragliding flights in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. The chief instructor, in fact, was the first to bring paragliding to Northern Ireland in 1990 and he has been training aspiring pilots ever since. He is certified as a senior instructor by the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA), which means that you will be in great hands.

At First Flight Paragliding, there are three options that allow you to become familiar with the world of paragliding. Firstly, you can try a taster session, which gives you the chance to experience free flight for the first time. This option can also be done through a tandem flight (unfortunately not currently available due to the waiting list and other training commitments), in which the instructor will fly with you. 

Finally, there are two other courses that will enable you to fly a paraglider on your own, namely Elementary Pilot and Club Pilot Novice. In these two programmes, you will cover a wide array of concepts that take you from the most basic level to being a certified pilot with the relevant skills and knowledge that allow you to join clubs and fly safely without the need for supervision.
