At Stubbers Adventure Centre Canoeing we have open deck canoes, ideal for groups of mixed age and ability. There can be up to two paddlers per boat and the open deck makes them much easier to get in and out of. They also tend to be more stable than a kayak.

The challenge is for front and back paddlers to work together! It’s more difficult than you think, but our qualified instructors will be on hand. They will show the paddlers how to synchronize their paddles effectively, and soon you´ll be paddling along without a hitch.

Kayaking is a popular paddle sport and we are happy to be able to offer kayaking lessons at Stubbers Adventure Centre Kayaking. We use closed deck kayaks and you will be taught the cap-size drill before hitting the water.

We have a designated and sheltered area of the lake available just for you! You will enjoy training in calm waters. We cater for all ages and abilities; as a beginner we will teach you how to paddle correctly and as an experienced kayaker we will improve your talent and problem-solving skills.

Kayaking can be enjoyed individually or with friends. If you would like to celebrate a special occasion by doing something different for a change, we can organise a kayaking session with plenty of water games involved to keep you all entertained.

Our emphasis is on team-building at Stubbers Adventure Centre Rafting. Before you can begin paddling, you will have to build your very own raft!

Our instructors are on hand to advise you about how to build a successful raft but the hard work is up to you. It is an excellent team event and very popular among our group bookings. You will have to work together!

It is a test of communication skills. We hope at the end of the day to see you paddling and not sinking! It all depends on your raft-building ability.

We are located on a lake in Upminster, Essex, which is ideal for safe learning and fun sailing! Stubbers Adventure Centre Sailing is one of, if not the best, multi-activity centres in the U.K. Our large fleet of sailing boats offers a boat for all levels. No previous sailing experience is necessary.

We have smaller boats for excitement and speed and larger boats for the cruising experience. We will test your confidence, as well as your communication and problem-solving skills.

If you are looking to sail for recreational or professional reasons, out instructors will motivate you all the way until you have achieved something special.

Are you a fan of high speeds? Stubbers Adventure Centre Jet Skiing is a truly adrenalin pumping activity. We are an established multi-activity centre located in Upminster, Essex.

You will be accompanied by an experienced instructor and the degree of control you will be under depends on your experience and age. We take every measure to ensure your safety!

Jet skiing is an adventure activity that can be enjoyed individually or accompanied. We have jets that seat up to 3 people at any one time! It requires confidence and good steering skills. At Stubbers Adventure Centre Quads we have some serious off-road challenges for the most adventurous drivers. We have been planning:

• Training track: designed to test your skill and agility. No better tuition of other coaches. The rural spaces are huge and uncommon to see in other uk parks. So much mud in a safaty paths.
• Endurance track: designed to test your staying power with plenty of bumps and dips. Challenge routes, speed and so much green around. 

Two riders are allowed on the tracks at any one time. You will have a personal instructor monitoring your safety throughout the day. Your instructor will also strive to improve your confidence and quad biking skills.

If you are interested in quad biking we recommend that you request more information about Stubbers Adventure Centre Quads. The quad bikes we use are powerful vehicles and we communicate the safety regulations to each beginner before their first session.

Learn to drive a dual control Diahatsu 4x4 vehicle with Stubbers Adventure Centre 4x4 Routes. Our off-road course will challenge your driving ability to the limit!

You must possess a current British driving license to take part, and an experienced instructor will accompany you so as to set progressive tests. It requires lots of confidence and excellent power steering skills.
We provide the course and the vehicles; all you will need are nerves of steel!

Today off-road driving is becoming more and more difficult to enjoy as many roads are now prohibited. Take advantage of our closed private course in order to experience a thrilling and adrenalin rush activity.

Climbing is an adrenalin pumping sport; it will test your skill and nerve. Stubbers Adventure Centre Climbing is fun for all abilities. We have:

• indoor climbing zone
• mobile climbing wall

The outdoor climbing wall dedicated to Rick Grice is 11 metres high, with overhangs and pinnacles designed to test even the most experienced climber. For beginners, we have a collection of indoor climbing walls with a variety of graded climbs using bolt on holds. You will be able to track your progress by taking note of the grades you have completed.

Would you like to be Robin Hood for the day and shoot for gold? At Stubbers Adventure Centre Archery we have an outdoor range for you to practice on.

If you are looking for an activity with a competitive edge, archery provides just that. You are welcome to compete individually or with others. It is a great fun activity suitable for everyone.

The aim of the game is to hit the bull´s eye, the inner ring, as many times as possible in order to receive the maximum number of points available. Our instructors will train you to do just that. It is more difficult than it looks!

Do you have a fear of heights? Would you like to face your fears once and for all? Stubbers Adventure Centre Canopy provides several high rope assault courses designed to test your nerves!

We offer:

• High rope aerial walkways:  an excellent harness system gives you the freedom of movement as you attempt to conquer the rope walkways without losing your balance
• Jacob´s ladders: a special ladder that has increasing gaps between the rungs as you get higher. Can you make it to the top?
• Zip wires: the perfect way down from the high rope platforms.

If you are looking for an adventurous day out for whatever reason, Stubbers Adventure Centre Canopy is perfect. Furthermore, you will be reassured by our fully-trained instructors, who will be monitoring you all the way around.

Test your nerve as you descend a 13 metre high tower face! Stubbers Adventure Centre Abseiling is designed to test your fear of heights. But there is really no need to worry as one of our instructors will be controlling a safety rope throughout your descent.

Try to enjoy the views of our picturesque site, if you can, as you go down at a pace of your choice. Going up is certainly easier thanks to the staircase we had built into the tower!

You can also enjoy abseiling down actual rock faces if you decide to participate in an outdoor climbing expedition.
