Rob Johnson is based in Snowdonia. Rob Johnson´s mission and goal is to help people become self sufficient in the mountains. Expedition Guide offers navigation courses, which include specifically walking trips and rock climbing instructing courses. It is a small company and is run by Rob Johnson and his wife Kate for the most part.

Rob Johnson mostly instructs the courses himself as he is a full time navigation instructor. He helps people with Scrambling, Winter Walking, Winter Climbing and many other mountaineering courses. Classes are offered in small groups or private lessons. For those who wish to improve specific needs it is recommended to purchase the private lessons package because Rob can cater to your special needs and will be able to equip you for the wild much quicker.

The underlying goal of our rockclimbing courses at Rob Johnson Climbing is to create self-sufficient outdoor navigators. Here we run a wide range of classes for a day or two days a time aiming at improving each student´s skills regardless of their prior experience with climbing. Rob Johnson has been climbing for the past two decades so you can be sure that his experience will transcend through his courses offered here in Snowdonia.

Climbing is physically challenging and can be dangerous if not done properly under the watchful eye of a trained and experienced instructor. It is not a mere outdoor sport rather it is a lifestyle and an exercise that involves the spiritual as well as the physical. IIn addition, suggestions in regards to destinations can also be arranged for private classes with additional fees for the obvious reasons.

Rob Johnson Hiking in Snowdonia is run with the objective of helping those looking to learn the skills of hiking get out in the hills and enjoying the wondrous beauty of the great outdoors and hiking! Our hill walking and navigation courses aim to create competent and safe adventurers who will be able to take on the world´s biggest mountains!

We offer various courses and excursions that range from a 2 days to up to a week with each course offering a different degree of training and qualification. Courses can take place here in Snowdonia or even abroad in areas like the Swiss Alps and we offer both summer and winter training. Our thorough training allows all hikers to be assessed for NNAS navigating awards.
