Peter Ashley Activity Centre provides interesting activities for both individuals and groups to enjoy in unique venues. We offer:

• Archery
• Climbing
• Horse Riding

We have developed our centre from Victorian buildings, bringing them back to life in order to preserve them as part of the heritage for the future.

You will find us on Portsdown Hill and our magnificent views of Portsmouth, Southsea attract many tourists.

The Forts provide residential packages for school groups with dormitory accommodation and meal arrangements. You are also welcome to camp on the large grassed parade areas.

Welcome to Peter Ashley Activity Centre Horse Riding in Portsmouth.

We are a British Horse Society (BHS) approved riding school and exam centre. You will find us on the top of Portsdown hill overlooking the Portsmouth Harbour.

Our horses and ponies range in size and ability, enabling us to cater for all types of rider. We offer:

• Horse riding lessons

• Own A Pony Days
• Pony Parties
• Riding for the Disabled
• Saddle Club

Each event is supervised by a qualified horse riding instructor that works hard to ensure that your every visit is safe and, most importantly, fun!

We have an indoor school and outdoor ménage, which enables us to offer great riding experiences in spite of the weather.

Welcome to Peter Ashley Activity Centre Climbing in Portsmouth.

We provide:

• Boulder room
• 700 sq ft of quality underground bouldering
• Inclined walls
• Waves
• Slabs
• Cracks 

And much, much more!

Our training room features a 5-sided, 16 ft tower with curved walls, roof sections, chimneys and overhangs. Ropework is necessary in this room for your safety.

Our climbing centre has been built via a network of underground tunnels that boasts 2 purpose built climbing areas. We add new routes consistently so that the challenges are endless!

We are open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM – 21:00 PM and Saturday to Sunday from 09:00 AM – 13:00 PM.

Welcome to Peter Ashley Activity Centre Archery in Portsmouth.

We provide:

• 2 indoor ranges
• Outdoor range
• Fully qualified instructors
• Archery club

Our archery club runs twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Enjoy practicing archery within a unique environment; our centre has been developed from restored Victorian buildings and our outdoor range features a Moat!

You will be guided by fully qualified instructors using the latest bow and arrow equipment. Our aim is to get you hitting the bull´s eye time and time again.

Target archery may not be very physically demanding but its competitive edge gets the adrenalin pumping.
