Lockwell Hill Activity Centre is a multi-adventure activity provider. We are at the junction between A614 and A617. Between Mansfield and Newark, north of Nottingham and north of Nottinghamshire. Our property extends 60 acres for all sorts of fun and enjoyment.

Our complex includes a large parking area as well as an onsite café where we can arrange a buffet or a party food-style catering for your event.

Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Archery is a company with 21 years of experience behind its back. Located between Mansfield and Newark, north of Nottingham and north of Nottinghamshire, our property extends 60 acres for all sorts of fun and enjoyment.

Considered the sport of the kings and one of the oldest sports, archery with Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Archery is still one of the best activities to participate in. The targets are in the middle of the Sherwood Forest, so along with participating in a fun sport you will also get to enjoy the amazing views of the nature around you.

Make a game out of it and shoot different targets lined throughout the forest! Make it a hunting challenge and see how many targets you can hit at different levels of difficulty. If you have never done archery before, you can still have a great time because you will be able to learn the correct technique quickly.

You will be provided with expert tuition from our Grand National Archery Society instructors, you couldn’t be in better hands!

Once the training session has been completed, and everyone feels comfortable with their bows, there will be a small competition to crown the next master archer.

This activity lasts for about an hour and is suitable for adults and juniors as long as they are older than 6. We work with re-curve bows and different draw weights to ensure that you shoot in a comfortable manner, and it’s not hard for you.

Take the exit at the junction between A614 and A617, between Mansfield and Newark, if you want to make remarkable memories. We are open every day from 9 am to 5 pm.

Test your shooting skills with Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Clay Pigeon Shooting. You will have the opportunity to shoot a firearm against our different targets. Don´t know how to shoot a rifle? That isn’t a problem, because no matter your skill level or experience, you will have the opportunity to learn and improve your shooting skills. Show us how sharp of a shooter you are!

Group lessons are also available. You can visit us with family and friends and learn all together. Have some friendly competition and see who can hit the most targets at our tin can alley! By the end of the lesson, you will have improved your shooting skills drastically.

This activity is suitable for both adults and juniors. A safety briefing will take place at the beginning of each session, where you will learn about rifles and how to use them safely.

Quad biking with Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Quads will be a great challenge and adventure as you'll find yourself going through uneven and unsteady terrain. You won´t have the time to get bored of this activity because of how exciting and heart-racing it will be.

Even children above 6 can drive around, as they will always be under supervision. This activity is for everyone to enjoy! This is an exciting experience for everyone whether you’re an experienced quad rider or a novice.

Our quad bikes are automatic, so they are easy to use and manage. Everyone can learn how to use them in the blink of an eye!

Adults will get to experience our 60 acres course facing hills, going through ditches and the woodland. Both individual and group sessions are available. Challenge your friends!

Juniors will also be able to experience our trails. They will go through our targeted bike tracks and make laps around them. Once they have completed them safely, they will be able to follow one of our marshals around our junior quad trail!

This is a private activity, so don’t worry about being pressured by other users, as you will be able to ride your quad at your own pace. A safety briefing and equipment will be provided at the beginning of each session.

For safety reasons, you are not allowed to use your quad at our facilities.

Are you passionate about car races? Do you like speed? Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Karting offers you the opportunity to experience our 720 m outdoor karting track if you want to feel the adrenalin rushing through your veins.

You can find us in Farnsfield, between Mansfield and Newark. We are open Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.

For race enthusiasts, our karting track features hairpins, straights, twists, and turns for a beyond compare experience.

Lockwell Hill Activity Centre Karting offers different race formats depending on the group size. The more, the merrier! We also offer junior and adult sessions. This experience is perfect for casual or practice sessions, and stag and hen parties.

Our instructors will teach you all the basics for a safe experience in the circuit. There will be a safety briefing at the beginning of each session. Coveralls and the required safety equipment will be given to you upon arrival.

Our 200 cc karts are fun and thrilling to ride. Lap around our circuit and race your friends. Will you be the first to cross the chequered flag and claim yourself one of the pole positions?

Lockwell Hill Activity Centre 4x4 Tours counts with a 60 acres site where you can find all kinds of activities varying from motorized to target sports. Why not combine your 4x4 experience with one of our target sports?

Our 4x4 experience is made to suit you and your needs, that is why our instructors will make sure you get a tailor-made experience around our purpose-built 4x4 off-road course. All levels and abilities are welcome.

We count on a team of trained instructors from the British Off-Road Driver Association (BORDA), who will train you to have a safe experience while you have the time of your life driving through our wooded ascents and descents, deep pits, and adverse cambers.

Our four-wheeled Land Rover Discovery fits up to 4 people plus our instructor. You are required to be 16 to drive our 4x4 vehicle, although you’re still welcome on board if you are younger.
