Welcome to Loch Insh Canoeing!

We are an outdoor centre, providing the most exhilarating Canoeing adventures in the area since 1969, so we are pretty confident to say that we are the leading company in watersports in Scotland. We run most of our packages in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains at Loch Insh, improving experiences by its beautiful surroundings and relaxing environment.

Canoeing is one of those sports where you can relax while you exercise and explore. Our standard canoes can accommodate from one to four people. Adults and children are welcome to enjoy a memorable family experience. The more people there are, the more likely the boat will capsize. You can enjoy your canoeing adventure for two to four hours, giving you plenty of time to have fun and explore the area.

We also offer guided canoeing river trips in the River Spey. Our instructors are highly trained and certified to deliver the best canoeing adventures. They are highly committed to delivering the most adventurous canoeing tours. We are proud to say our team is the best one in the area.

All our equipment meets the requirements of the British Canoe Union (BCU).

Kayaking is an active sport and, at Loch Insh Kayaking, we aim to get you out and about on the water. We are proud to say we are a leading company since 1969.

No previous experience is necessary as we have an enclosed safety area for beginners to practice on until they grasp the basic paddling techniques.

Experienced kayakers will head out to explore the Loch. We have traditional, closed cockpit river kayaks for you to paddle, which are perfect for rolling.

You are welcome to hire our kayaks for a day or even a week if you have a special expedition planned. What's more, we have paddling courses available too. If you would like to brush up on your skills or learn something new, there is no better place to be.

Our kayaking adventures can be enjoyed by anyone. Children +4 years old can dive into kayaking to learn new skills. Kayaking is always a great idea to spend time with people you love.

Welcome to Loch Insh Archery!

We are based in the Cairngorms National Park, an ideal place to enjoy an archery session in an open environment. Enjoy an ancient pastime in beautiful surroundings. You will need:

• Accuracy
• Timing

But don't worry, because we have professional instructors who will help you sharpen your focusing and aiming skills. Archery helps you to develop skills that will help you in your daily routine so, whether you are a beginner or an expert in the matter, we are here to help you.

Once you have hit the target for the first time, you will get a great sense of satisfaction, and it will be an experience that you will want to repeat time and time. Our archery lessons will finish with a friendly competition to see who has the potential to be the next Robin Hood!

Archery is suitable for all ages and fitness levels but, we require a minimum of six years old to join. We have a variety of different sized bows available. Target archery is great fun and perfect for group bookings. We will make sure everyone has a good time.

There is plenty of history behind our Outdoor Centre. Everything started as a dream of Clive Freshwater, a passionate and dedicated professional athlete who founded Loch Insh Watersports in 1969. He followed his passion for watersports until moving to Scotland to founded Loch Insh! We pride ourselves in the company we are now, with over 15 activities with accommodation and an on-site cafe included.

We know there is something for all at Loch Insh, including stand-up paddleboarding. Our instructors have arranged a wide list of options to cover everyone's preferences and abilities, such as individual or group sessions, SUP yoga, SUP hire and more.
