Welcome to Highland Guides and discover the great outdoors with us! We run our outdoor excursions both in summer and winter for hiking, climbing and mountaineering in the stunning Highlands or even further beyond.

Our leader is Rob Jarvis, runs all of the training and personally tailors his instruction to the needs of each and every adventurer. Our courses are available for all levels of climbers or hikers and we can cater our itinerary to the destination of your choice. Learn how to climb in the ice or snow, or try climbing or scrambling in the warmer months! We also offer mountaineering courses year round which are perfect for enjoying the challenging landscape of the Highlands.

Description of Highland Guides Climbing

Welcome to Highland Guides Climbing! We are a small run outdoor company who can take you to some of the best climbing locations in the Highlands for a unique and exquisite climbing experience.

Our instructor Rob is qualified and experienced and will teach you all of the necessary skills of climbing like belaying, rope work, abseiling and lead climbing.

We individually cater our training to each individual and can provide our activities in Lochaber, The Cairngorms and the North West, Snowdonia, the Welsh coastline for cliff climbing as well as Yorkshire and the Peak District.

Our training can be done both in the summer and the winter, giving you the necessary skills to tackle the rock depending on the weather conditions.
