Join Heatree Activity Centre Canoeing as you paddle along our tranquil pond located within the Dartmoor National park.

It doesn’t matter if this is your first time and you don't know which end of the paddle goes in the water or you are just looking for a fun day out on the water, our fully qualified instructors will teach you the range of skills you need to develop your paddling skills and feel more comfortable around the water as you learn various vital safety skills.

We mix an instructional experience with plenty of fun too! Up to 3 people will have to learn to work together to paddle your canoe, exploring the waters we also have a great selection of games to play including tug of  war, where you just may end up going for a drink! Join us on our secluded pond and for a fun rafting experience with Heatree Activity Centre Rafting.

Your experienced rafting instructor will provide you with the materials you need to create your own raft, you will have to work as a team to put together watertight barrels, blanks of wood and lengths of rope so that you can take to the water and cross it without going for a swim!

You will learn a range of knots and get a chance to experiment with design and construction techniques as you build on your communication and teamwork skills.

Come and discover this underground adventure when you join Heatree Activity Centre Caving, touring the local cave systems of Primhamsleigh.

Our experienced caving guide will kit you out in willies and your caving coveralls before taking you on a 20 minute drive to the local caving system. Here you will slither, walk and crawl through the underground route chosen especially for you and your group, tailored  to the needs of the individual and the group.

Everyone of our experience has its own challenges and is complete with a big squeeze that you will need to conquer, join us for fun in the mud when you spend a day of adventure with Heatree Activity Centre Caving.

Just a 20 minute drive from our adventure centre, Heatree Activity Centre Mountain Biking holds a great range of off road sessions on Dartmoor.

We use the local forestry commission site and wide gravel tracks to offer a great mountain biking experience that everyone who can ride a bike can enjoy. Your biking instructor will teach you the skills you need to take on a variety of terrain, as well as supply you with all the gear you need including bike, helmet and cycling gloves.

For those at a higher level we also have some challenging sections of track and technical terrain to put yourself to the test.

Take on this great personal challenge on our purpose built climbing tower at Heatree Activity Centre Abseiling.

Here you and your group will challenge your natural fear of heights. Your fully qualified abseiling instructor will harness you in and teach you the ropes before you take that first step of the ledge, before you know it you will have your feet planted firmly on a vertical surface, controlling your descent as you make your way back to solid ground for a feeling of achievement has to be experienced!

For the more daring members of your group we will teach a few tricks and stunts to push you just that little bit further. At all times your experience will be tailored to you, so if you're not feeling comfortable we will do everything to make you so.

Climb and swing through the trees with Heatree Activity Centre Canopy with this exciting experience that will really put you to the test.

We have a great range of challenging elements for you to try on this thrilling high ropes experience. Try your hand at the high postman's walk, the cargo net, the catwalk and the daring leap of faith, a leap between platforms a metre wide, all 10 metres above the ground and the heads of your friends and family cheering you on.

To get to the top at least 3 people must work together, making this a great group activity. You will be harnessed into a pulley system and supervised by one of our fully qualified instructors at all times.
