Description of Climb Torridon Hiking

Are you into hiking in the mountains? Do you want a new challenge but cannot think of what to do? Have you ever come across the terms scrambling or mountaineering?

On the one hand, scrambling is a 100-year-old sport that is somewhere between mountain hiking and rock climbing. It goes one step further than hiking since the terrain is usually steeper and more challenging, and it involves using your hands as help when needed. There are 5 different scrambling grades; number one is very close to hiking, and number five is quite similar to rock climbing.

On the other hand, mountaineering was born almost 200 years ago and is a very imprecise sport as it combines hill hiking and climbing to move around the mountains. Therefore, it is more challenging than hiking or scrambling.

Whether you have practised scrambling or mountaineering before or are entirely new to these two sports – we have the perfect course for you at Climb Torridon!

We started the business in 2020 and have experienced, qualified instructors ready to transmit their passion to you! The sessions will take place at Torridon Mountains, which offer a wide range of different routes for different scrambling and mountaineering levels!

Not only will we practise these fascinating sports but we will also enjoy the magnificent views that Torridon Mountains have to offer!

Please bear in mind that a certain fitness level is required as we will spend long hours walking out in the mountains.

Don’t hesitate, and join us now to start your scrambling or mountaineering experience!
