Description of Cheddar Gorge Climbing

Do you dare ascending the Cheddar Gorge, Britain´s largest and by far most beautiful gorge? Come climb with us and enjoy an incomparable climbing experience in this stunning gorge in Somerset.

Our climbing sessions are for those starting out, groups are always welcome, and we offer a haven of tranquility for BMC climbers! Use your own hands and feet to climb up the steep Cheddar and break a new record!

We run our activities from April to November as long as the weather permits climbing in safety. Our instructors show climbers the techniques they need to dominate the 50ft rock. Climbers will never get bored and as they progress they can move on to different surfaces.

Experienced instructors will teach inexperienced climbers how to attach the harness, the skills needed for climbing and how to belay another person next to them. Your adventure days will consist of both climbing and belaying so that one has time to catch their breath while still being involved and lending comrades a hand.

Climbers can choose between 7 different routes, from very easy to rather rough for the most skilled people. Try to conquer all the rocks!
