Bolton Lads & Girls Club is the biggest youth centre in the United Kingdom, as well as offering a huge range of services for everyone from the ages of 8 – 21, we have a great range of outdoor adventures to help young people live an active and exciting life.

Our instructors are professional and fully qualified to lead a range of experiences including, orienteering, mountain biking, archery, climbing, canyoning, kayaking and canoeing. With our state of the art facilities, team of 50 staff and a legion of 400 volunteers supporting the centre and youth, we have a wealth of experience to draw upon to ensure a unique and rewarding experience.

From cruising across a gentle lake to paddling down raging rapids, canoeing is as varied as the waterways around us and the people on them! Canoes can take two paddlers, working together so as to avoid travelling in circles and anything else you need for the day, which can even include camping gear when we want to make a trip of it! At all times you will be accompanied by a professional guide, and supplied with all of the safety equipment you need to ensure you have a great experience on the water.

These stable and easy to paddle craft are perfect for paddlers of all  ages and levels of experience, and with our qualified and passionate staff we will help you take on new adventures and challenges with a range of rapids and beautiful sites. Kayaking is always a fantastic experience and a great way to keep active and healthy too!

We organise a great range of trips from navigating the mountain streams of the Lakes District to leaping off waterfalls in Wales. Our Canyoning days are very physical and alot of fun, providing a great challenge and a day you will not soon forget. We supply everything you need to enjoy these great days out, including an instructor with a local's knowledge of the obstacles you will find in your day, but you should bring a towel and a change of clothes as you are guaranteed to get wet!

Join Bolton Lads & Girls Club Climbing and discover a range of climbing sites with a great group.

With a great range of activities for young adults from 8 to 21 years old, we offer climbing experiences at both indoor and outdoor venues around Bolton. Indoor venues are a great place to visit if this is your first time and for those looking for a challenge we have the quarries on the Pennine Moors which offer exciting climbs and routes, and the whole time you will be encouranged and trained by qualified professionals to ensure a safe experience.

As long as you are between 8 years old, and 21 years old, and you can already ride a bike we will be happy to have you along on our club trips where you will learn new skills as you take on exciting challenges out in nature.
