A long, narrow watercraft with sharp ends. It is usually propelled by means of paddles, although sails and, more recently, outboard motors are also used. Discover with Adventure Britian Canoeing this incredible water activity.

The majority of canoes made today, however, are manufactured of a tough but light aluminium alloy. This type of canoe contains an air pocket in either end to ensure flotation. Modern canoes are also made of fibreglass or plastic. They usually accommodate two paddlers kneeling, propelling the canoe with a single bladed paddles.

Adventure Britian´s Canoeing sessions are based in South Wales, 25 minutes north of Swansea and 45 minutes west of Cardiff. We use a number of rivers, canals and lakes in the area. Sometimes confused with canoes. Kayaks have spray decks and are generally used on rougher water including sea kayaking. Originally an Inuit or Eskimo design with the boat consisting of a light wooden frame covered with watertight skins except for a single or double opening with the kayaker using a double-bladed paddle.

Modern kayaks have evolved into too many specialized types, that may be broadly categorized as sea kayaks, whitewater (or river) kayaks, surf kayaks. Modern kayaks are typically constructed from plastic, wood, fabrics over wooden or aluminium frames, fibreglass, Kevlar or carbon fibre.

Quad bikes are known by a number of terms including "all-terrain vehicle". It is also used to describe a number of small open motorised buggies and tricycles designed for off-road use. Adventure Britian Quads offers a wide range of guide routes to feel the quad experience.

Adventure Britian’s qualified mountain instructors will take you up into the majestic Brecon Beacons so you can experience the wilderness of the National Park. We have the local knowledge so can ensure you maximise your mountain and hill walking experience by using ours.

Hiking in Wales is a special experience with some spectacular mountains and hill walks. We can take you off the beaten track to see some breathtaking scenery.

You will be guided by Adventure Britian´s  qualified instructors and can either just enjoy the scenery or pick up some mountain skills such as navigation and map reading. Most of the time you'll be amazed by the stunning views as a new vista appears around every corner or over the next brow of the hill. Our mountain guides have extensive local knowledge so will be explaining about mans influence through the ages on the landscape, it geology and geography, flora and fauna.

For some people rock climbing is about a journey to a summit on a sunny day, for others it is an intense physical and mental challenge requiring training and effort. For others it is a great fun outdoor activity and an opportunity to try something completely different.

Adventure Britian Caving is your adventure company. We offer you an exciting underground activity. Anyone who wants, could practise it.

Caving or speleology is an activity based in the underground exploration of natural or man-made caverns. Caves are one of the most fascinating environments known to man where it is still possible to participate in original exploration. Cave systems have taken thousands of years to evolve their fantastic shapes, and crystal & clay formations.

Stalagtites and stalagmites found across the rocky cave floor and roofs are just two types of calcite formations that may greet a visitor to this unique natural world. Virgin clay floors remain as pristine as the day ancient floodwaters last receded. A caving trip and caving tour takes you to a world that, whether you are the first to enter or not, will leave an unforgettable impression.

Caves are graded from 1 to 5 to give some idea of the level of difficulty:

Clay pigeon shooting involves clay circular targets, known as clay pigeons being catapulted into the air to imitate pigeons, or shot along the ground, to imitate rabbits, by ‘traps’, small machines that propel the clays at speed. In Adventure Britian Clay Pigeon Shotting activities, competitors then attempt to shoot the clays pigeons using shotguns.

During your clay pigeon shooting session in Wales you’ll be given expert tuition and lessons on how to handle and fire shotguns and also how to improve your shooting technique in order to maximise the number of clay pigeons you shoot.
