Welcome to Houlls Horses & Hounds, the best place to enjoy a lovely horse riding session in Shetland. We promise we have nothing but delightful experiences.

We are a family-run business operating in Bridge End since 2014, delivering unique horse trekking and riding lessons, as well as dog training and home dog boarding. Our passion for horses has forced us to share all these experiences with locals and visitors, taking you to the most breathtaking sceneries of Shetland.

There is no doubt our experiences are one in a million. We have six well-trained, behaved and friendly Icelandic horses at your disposal. Have you heard of this breed before? They were introduced by the Vikings in Iceland around the 9th and 10th centuries. It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or a more experienced rider. We promise to suit your session to your needs and preferences.

Our purpose-built menage allows you to enjoy a trial with one of our horses before going to the tracks and fields. You will also encounter three treks that we can range in length!
