Welcome to Bitless Bridle Equestrian Centre

We are an iron-free equestrian centre in Wales, operating since 2007. We are dedicated to Natural Horsemanship, and we offer tuition (both groundwork & ridden); iron-free hacking and pub rides, demos, clinics and more.

We believe in communicating with horses in a language they understand (known as 'Horse Whispering' or 'Natural Horsemanship'). We also believe in keeping our horses as naturally as possible:

• Iron-free with no bits - we use Dr Cook crossunder Bitless Bridles
• No shoes - this doesn't mean that they can't be ridden on roads!
• No metal trees in the saddles
• Living 24/7 in a natural herd system known as “Paddock Paradise” with access to natural and man-made shelter of course

Location

We are based just outside Talsarn on the B4337, conveniently located between Lampeter & Aberystwyth.

We are situated on the south-facing slope of Trichrug, and being over 1,000 feet above sea level there are spectacular views to be enjoyed over the surrounding countryside right out to the Brecon Beacons.

Activities

We offer a large range of activities so there is something for everyone, and with our indoor as well as outdoor facilities you can ride whatever the weather! We offer private lessons as well as group lessons, and all of our lessons include varying amounts of groundwork, which we believe is very important to experience before undertaking any ridden work. 

If you prefer, you can also bring your own horse, as long as you book a minimum session of 1.5 hours.
