And the residents aren’t immune to its rugged beauty either. Here at Skye Tours, we’re so under the spell of the island that we’re committed to introducing it to visitors like you. We run tours of the island that take in our favourite views and sights for that purpose.

Among the breathtaking places that we visit on our standard tour route are the rocky pinnacles of the Old Man of Storr, the Kilt Rock cliffs, the Trotternish Peninsula and the Faery Glen. Remember to bring your camera, because there’s almost too much to see.

It’s not just the scenery that will captivate you on our tour. Skye is also alive with stories, both historical and legendary. From prehistoric tribes to the Viking invasions and the period of the powerful Macleod and Macdonald clans, the island has been the scene of incredible events. Our standard tour takes 5 hours, including stops, and is programmed to sync with public transport connections from the starting point, Kyle of Lochalsh. This town is on the mainland, at the end of the bridge that connects the Isle of Skye to the mainland. If you’re already on the island, it’s possible to join the tour in Portree, the capital.
