Welcome to Lincolnshire Gliding Club

We are a none profit making club, with no paid members, based at Strubby Airfield, Alford, Lincolnshire. The area gives us fantastic views of the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and the east coast. 

You can join us for a Trial Flight to try this fantastic sport, or give a voucher as a unique gift for a loved one. If you enjoy the experience, you can continue to learn with us, and will eventually be able to fly solo. We welcome juniors from age 12 as well as adults.

The Trial Lesson consists of Groundschool and in the air training. The ground school revolves around studying the topics, such as safety briefing, glider briefing and parachute briefing. Then, up in the air, the lessons include how to control the glider and more. 

We don´t have any employees, so we help each other with all of the daily duties, which help keeps costs down and helps us all get to know each other and encourage a friendly atmosphere.We have two two-seat training gliders (2 x K13’s) as well as several privately owned gliders.

We fly throughout the year, every weekend and Bank Holiday, as well as every Wednesday. In summer between May and August, we also fly during the evenings.
