Dartmoor Gliding Society

Welcome to Dartmoor Gliding Society!

We a small but friendly club situated on beautiful moorland in South Devon. We have been operating since 1983 so our team have plenty of gliding experience.

We are all gliding enthusiasts who take great pride in our club, and we have a well looked after grass runway, a refurbished clubhouse and a purpose-built hangar which houses our club fleet of 2 twin seat training gliders and 3 single seat gliders. Our location offers good thermal soaring, and when the wind is east there are waves to heights in excess of 16000 feet right off the end of the wire.

If you have never experienced gliding before, come and join us for a trial flight, or treat a loved one. If you want to continue learning to glide after your trial flight you can continue lessons with us to be a glider pilot. We invite you to experience a Trial Flight or to present as a gift this incredible and thrilling experience to a loved one.

Or, if you want to present a more intense and a full-adrenaline gift, we have the One Day Introductory course. The aim of this offer is to give the "co-pilots" a more profound and intense introductory session of gliding.
