Welcome to Anglesey Charter Fishing

We are are a family run business offering fishing and sightseeing trips from Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales.

Our Vessels

´Bad Boyz´ is a Steelcraft charter boat with a turbo charged engine, fully compliant with the MCA codes of practice for up to 13 people and she carries all of the relevant safety information.

She has all of the latest electronic equipment including:

  • Simrad chart sounder sonar plotter GPS
  • Simrad and Icom hand held radios
  • Raymarine chart sounder plotter GPS
  • Icom hand held radios
  • Lowrance and Magellan fish finders

In addition to this on board you will find a full galley with a microwave and cooker and a deck level sea toilet.

´Bad Ladz II´is a Birchwood GRP performance hull, with a new, larger, turbo charged engine to get you to the fishing grounds quicker. She is fully licensed and coded for up to 10 people, and fully compliant with the MCA code of practise for angling and diving. Also for divers, she has a fully fitted aluminium dive ladder and a side opening door. 

On board you we have all of the latest electronics including:

  • Sailor and Icom vhf radios
  • Garmin and Simrad plotters
  • A Furuno Radar
  • GPSs
  • Auto helm autopilot

Types of fishing

We offer Bank fishing in Holyhead Bay and Caernarfon Bay, where you can hope to catch plaice, rays, bass, smoothound, turbot, bull huss and tope. Holyhead Deep is especially famous for spur dog, tope, conger and bull huss, all of which are found in large quantities and are of a high quality. If you go Reef fishing around te North Coast of Anglesey and into Caernafon Bay the species available here include codling, coalfish, bream, pollack and wrasse.

Our trips last for 4 - 12 hours, and for trips over 8 hours you will receive breakfast, usually a sausage and egg buttie prepared fresh whilst you fish, and hot pot or curry for lunch. Vegetarian options can also be provided. 

Evening trips

Summer is a great time to try one of our four hour evening trips, either for fishing, with bait and tackle included, or just relaxing and sightseeing around Holyhead Bay. A fantastic way to spend a warm, summer´s evening.

Tackle

The type of tackle that you need depends on  what type of fisherman/woman you are, and also what you want to catch, but tackle is available on board and generally you will need pollack rigs, tope rigs, bottom rigs, feather etc.
