Junior Surfing Session on Achill Island for 1.5h

Achill Island is littered with golden sandy beaches and scenic sights; none create a better setting for learning to surf than Keel Beach, especially with its calm waves, perfect for beginners.

From the classic flat waves of the West Coast and unique waves ranging up to 6ft, Keel Beach, where we run our junior surfing session, has something for everyone; it provides the perfect introduction for beginners and delivers more challenging waves as they build their skills and confidence under the guidance of our qualified instructors.

Our instructors have years of experience and vast expertise, allowing us to adapt and tailor our sessions based on group requirements to ensure everyone has the best time. This also means we choose the best and most beautiful location where we can create a safe and secure environment for everyone.

We prioritise safety for our juniors by providing a safety briefing and expert skills introduction to adequately prepare them for the experience. During the summer, there are also fully qualified RLSS and IWS beach lifeguards on site, which should make you feel more assured of visiting Keel, which has the highest water quality award.

You can meet our passionate staff at the car park opposite the campsite, where we will supply you with all the necessary equipment, which includes a surfboard from our wide selection and a 5mm O'Neill winter wetsuit. There are also on-site facilities for changing and showering.

You won't believe how much you learn while having fun; beginners will gain a grasp of the basics like paddling and catching waves, while intermediate surfers will progress to a new level by learning correct surfing etiquette and turning techniques as well as catching unbroken waves.

Please note that this session lasts 90 minutes and is aimed only at juniors. We have an alternative price for this session which adults can avail of.
