Sailing Taster Session (18+) in Limerick 2.5h

Have you ever wanted to try sailing? Want to explore Limerick? We have an exciting adventure with you in our two-and-a-half-hour sailing taster session.

We are located at the Hunt Museum close to the city centre and so close to the River Shannon, which is where we will embark on a sailing journey.

This session is open to everyone who wants to give sailing a go, experience or not; you can join us to get a taste of the freedom of sailing along the river bank.

Our team are all Irish Sailing Association qualified instructors, so expect professionalism from beginning to end. Our instructors will teach you various basic techniques and skills as you listen to historical tales of the city's oldest landmarks and remarkable sights.

Sailing is a freeing outdoor experience that is a great way to spend time with friends and family.

We want you to learn and have fun while being safe. A safety briefing beforehand will prepare you well for what lies ahead and the supply of a buoyancy aid to add to our safety measures.

You will be under constant supervision of our professional instructors; the less experience you have, the more closely it will be. We have a range of sailboats as part of our service, including our Drascombe lugger sailing boats which are pretty easy to handle and use, but we will start the session by motoring you around before you can hoist the sails when you feel ready.
