Description of 3-Day Improver Sailing Course RYA Stage at Ramsey

If you have completed our RYA Stage 1 Sailing Course, your next step is to take the improvers course. It's a fun-filled activity that will help you to sharpen your skills.

We run our sailing courses at our sheltered and shallow 2.5-acre lake at Mooragh Park in Ramsey. It's an ideal course for those who already have a certificate of feeling competent enough to skip level one. It's a 5-day course, so please ensure you have enough time to complete it. You'll be under the RYA Stage 2 syllabus with the guidance of our professional RYA-certified staff.

Your course includes multiple skills, such as upwind sailing, downwind sailing and gybing. We mix singlehanded and crewed dinghies. We supply all the equipment, but we recommend bringing a towel, comfortable clothing, trainers and spare shoes and clothes.

We welcome anyone 9-15 years old making it an ideal experience for youth or school groups. Individuals and small groups are welcome.
