Raft Building Activity Day at Margam Country Park

Raft Building is one of those activities you must try at least once. Besides engaging in healthy competition, it enhances your focus, teamwork and communication skills. You wrap up multiple experiences in one!

We run our raft-building experience at Margam Country Park. They are the perfect plan for family weekends, group events or holiday activities. A professional instructor will open your session with an explanatory briefing and supply the equipment, including barrels, planks/wooden poles, multiple ropes, helmets, paddles, wetsuits, and buoyancy aids. You need to bring a pair of trainers you don't mind getting wet, a towel and an extra change of clothing.

The game consists in designing a raft, building it up and checking if it floats. Then, you'll have to paddle around the lake, enjoying multiple races against your friends or the other team to see which raft works better. Don't worry about anything, as we will share some designs and knots before the session starts.

We have cafe facilities for lunch, but you're welcome to bring your own!
