Puffin Watching Boat Tour in Padstow Harbour for 1

In Cornwall, we receive some very special visitors for a few months every year.

We’re not talking about tourists! It’s puffins, beautiful seabirds with smart black and white plumage, multicoloured bills and bags of personality. They nest along the north coast of Cornwall from the middle of April to the middle of July.

That’s when we put on one-hour boat tours from our HQ in Padstow. We sail out of the Camel Estuary to Puffin Island - a rocky outcrop in the sea where thousands of mating couples can be observed.

Our tour boats are RIBs, a kind of powerboat, with space for 12 passengers, plus a guide and a skipper. The guide is a marine wildlife specialist who can tell you all about the animals on show. Together with the skipper, they’ll keep an eye out for other animals like dolphins. 

Despite their comfortable modern design, the RIBs aren’t suitable for pregnant women, babes-in-arms, or anyone suffering from neck or back problems. All passengers will need shoes with grip, warm layers and something waterproof.
