Kayaking Intro Course on the River Leam 5 Sessions

Are you ready to take up a new hobby?

Go from watersports zero to kayak hero with us, opening up a whole new world of exercise, exploration and friendships. This course is for anyone who wants a comprehensive introduction to the world of kayaking.

It is made up of 4 sessions at our riverside venue in Leamington Spa, where we train on a calm stretch of the River Leam. Each session is around 2 hours long and they take place on weekday evenings and weekends. At the end of the course, we’ll make a trip to the Wye Valley and spend a full day kayaking downriver, putting all of the skills we’ve covered to the test.

All equipment is provided for the whole course and we can advise you on purchasing your own equipment if you’re a kayak convert by the end. Advice, guidance and tuition of everything from water safety to paddling technique comes from our team of expert outdoor instructors.

As we’ll be following the programme of training set out by British Canoeing, we can offer you the chance to achieve a Discover certificate as well, which comes at a small additional cost.
