Kayak Intro Lesson(7+) in Llangollen 2h

Please meet us at Mile End Mill and enter the wonderful kayaking world in a unique learning experience down the Llangollen Canal in North Wales.

We have the perfect environment for beginners to get outdoors, hit the water, and learn a new excellent skill that makes for a fun day out with friends and family. Our waters are peaceful, so you can use this activity to relax as you take in the stunning diverse views the canal offers, with so much to discover, including a UNESCO world heritage site, the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.

We welcome all over the age of 7 to complete this introductory lesson in kayaking; regardless of if you have experience or not, we will make you feel at home on the water and give you a sense of accomplishment once you have finished this two-hour activity.

The experienced instructors that make up our passionate team will lead this session with a safety briefing and then teach you some basics of kayaking to get you familiar with your sit-on-top kayak to be best prepared for the journey ahead while making you feel at ease along the way by answering any concerns you have. This adventure begins from the Horseshoe Falls towards the 126ft high and 10,000ft wide Pontcysyllte Aqueduct across the River Dee.

All instructions and equipment, such as the kayak, paddle, helmet, life jacket and wetsuit, will be provided at the beginning of the session. Our only request is that you bring a sturdy pair of shoes, a towel and swimwear that you will wear under the wetsuit.
