Half Day Horseback Trek in the South Downs

Horseback trekking is a relaxing and fulfilling experience that we are proud to offer. As a West Sussex-based company, we have access to some excellent areas and routes for treks, with ancient castles and winding rivers dotting the landscape. A wonderful place for a ride is the South Downs National Park.

Other options include Tilgate Forest and Ardingly Reservoir. We usually choose a country pub as our start and finish point so that we can end the ride with refreshments.

These half-day rides are for riders with some experience on horseback. You don’t have to be an expert, but you need to be happy spending several hours in the saddle. We have both easy and challenging routes to choose from.

Our accomplished ride leaders can take groups of up to 5 riders on these routes. Everyone must bring their own riding hats and wear suitable clothing and footwear.

We send a form to all riders in advance of the ride to collect all your information - riding experience, weight, height, etc. This will allow us to plan the trek to suit the group and to choose a horse for each participant.
