Description of Horse riding 5 hours at Camel Valley in Cornwall
Cornwall has a long tradition of horse riding. As history itself tells us, our connections with horses come from the Bronze-Age, where the first inhabitants of the area used these animals to know and explore this rocky zone full of trails and natural beauty. That's why you must come to enjoy our horse riding trail that will take you across Bodmin Moor, the flat green land where twilights are stunning, granite soil is the most common surrounding and high rocky hills embrace the landscape.
During the 5 hours that this session lasts, you will enjoy in private or in groups the greatness of our horses as long as you are at least 5 years old. They have been raised in Cornwall and, apart from being used to people, they are also used to local animals and wildlife. Because of that, they won't get scared of foxes or sheep, so this is a must for riders with less experience.
Where are we heading to? To the Valley of River Camel, the same name that we have used to name our trail. Would you like to know a fun fact about the river? Its name comes from the ancient civilisation that explored this land and, because of the twisted shape that it has, they called it the "crooked river".
Who is going to be with you? It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or a more experienced rider, you will be spending a lovely day with Paul and his daughter, who are the family who owns our company. They are both well-experienced horse professionals. Paul, for example, has been working with them for over 30 years now and has participated in different Grand Prix competitions. His daughter has been horse riding since she was 3 years old!
Equipment is included and you can also bring your own horse if that's what you want! And where can we eat if the activity runs for 5 hours, though this is not included in the price? What about at the Blisland Inn, a granite-stone pub where we can enjoy the huge mug collection that they have hanging from the ceiling from visitors from different parts of the world!
Book now and come to enjoy the beauty of Cornwall and the magic of the Valley of River Camel!
