Mountaineering Intro Day in Langdale and Beyond

Then join us for a full-day introduction to mountaineering in the Lake District National Park and learn how to reach the highest peaks in England.

Mountaineering is a general term that encompasses a variety of techniques for moving about in mountainous terrain. This day will feature hiking, rock climbing, scrambling as well as navigation, planning and risk management instruction.

We run these days on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis to make sure that you get the most out of our highly experienced outdoor guides. They’ll also provide technical and safety equipment. You will need to come prepared with footwear and clothing suitable for the activities and weather conditions.

We are based at the head of Langdale, in Ambleside, which is one of the locations we use for these training days. Other great places include Patterdale, Wasdale, Borrowdale and Coniston.
