R22 Heli Discovery Day at Humberside Airport 4h

We offer a helicopter experience day that will feel like a baptism into the life of a pilot. Over the course of 4 hours, you’ll learn about flight theory and get hands on with a real aircraft - on the ground and in the air.

This is an exclusive experience, where you’ll be one-on-one with a qualified pilot with lots of experience in introducing newcomers to the world of aviation. We use a Robinson R22 helicopter which has 2 seats.

There are 2 parts to the day. We start with grounschool at our premises at Humberside International Airport. This is your chance to learn the basics and ask the questions that you’ve always had about flying a helicopter.

Then you’ll walk across the tarmac to the helicopter. There are 2 hours of flight training which includes a trial flight in the R22, which has dual controls. That means that you can experience one element of the aircraft at a time and build up confidence in the air.

Anyone can get involved with this experience, it’s one of the most accessible flying experiences on the market. The R22 is limited to passengers of 15 stone or less.
