Description of Full Day Entry to the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew
Calling all plant lovers, flower babies and fresh air addicts!
We know you’ll feel at home in our botanical gardens, the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of London.
Kew Gardens, in the Borough of Richmond, are the largest botanical gardens in the world. Covering an area of 132 hectares - 330 acres - and hosting over 30,000 plants there’s so much to discover. We recommend starting with this full-day entry and coming back again and again.
Once in the gardens, you're free to roam as you please. Breathe in the scent of flowers among the outdoor planting beds, marvel at the weird and wonderful tropical plants in the temperate greenhouses, visit exhibitions, art galleries and installations, look around the Great Pagado and Queen Charlotte's Cottage or simply chill out on the grass. In the summer, you can also visit Kew Palace that stands in the grounds.
You can easily spend the whole day just wandering around the network of paths, but we also have restaurants where you can relax and refuel. There are special areas for families with young children as well, and wheelchair-friendly routes around the site.
Some people visit us regularly to attend our temporary exhibitions, others fall in love with the elevated walkway through the canopy (Treetop Walkway)of the trees. There are those who come several times a year to see the colours of each season and more who find the experience of seeing plants from every corner of the world in the same place to be the most rewarding part of the visit.
What will be your favourite part of this fascinating place? Book your visit to find out!
