Description of Escape Room Challenge at Shrewsbury Prison, 1.5h
Go to jail. Go directly to jail. Do not pass up this opportunity to have an authentic escape room experience!
Shrewsbury Prison was a working category B/C prison until 2013, when it was converted into a museum and interactive visitor attraction. And what better place to house an escape room than a prison?
Unique among escape rooms (as far as we know), you’ll have to interact with “real” prison guards, on top of solving puzzles and finding clues, during the challenge. Will you have the charisma, nerve and nouse to break your way to freedom before time runs out?
The game takes 1 hour to complete, or not, and so the escape room experience lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes with a briefing included. But this ticket also gets you inside the prison and you can stick around to take a look around the museum exhibits that it houses. There’s also an on-site cafe, so you can really make the most of your visit.
The game is designed for groups of 2 to 6 people, each of whom will be issued with an orange jumpsuit to help them get into character. It’s perfect for groups of friends, staff parties and families, so long as the children are over 12 years old.
Ever wondered what it’s like to be a prisoner. Book now to find out!
