Description of Full Day Mountain Scrambling in the Lakes (16+yrs)

We take the best of hill walking and rock climbing and combine them to create an exciting adventure - mountain scrambling in the Lake District.

It is different to the ghyll scrambling we also offer in some of the Lake District's most beautiful streams; this is a more dry option where you will be scaling mountains with the intention of finding the most challenging path to the summit.

We will keep the ropework to a minimum in this climbing-like activity as the aim is to immerse yourself in the terrain and feel your way to the top. No experience is required to join this session. You will either learn new skills or develop the techniques you already possess as the more experienced you are, the higher the grade we will scramble at - and the more challenging it will be.

Scrambling is entertaining, especially for a group day out for over 16s, whatever the occasion. It comes with the unique reward of picturesque Cumbrian views from great heights, especially when you scramble to a vantage point.

For the best experience, you need the best guides. That is precisely what you will get with us as all of our experienced instructors are qualified with the MCI (Mountaineering Climbing Instructor, formally MIA) Award, the top summer mountain award in the UK. Their passion and qualification for this activity are evident.

Our guides use their experience to cater the session to your abilities, so they will challenge you but never take it too far. They strive to create the best sessions to fit as many scrambles into the full-day session and provide all safety equipment and instruction.
