A stunning canyon, also commonly known as Allt Nan Uamh, Gaelic for Burn of the Big Cave, is a magical place where you can climb over rocks, swim, traverse different terrains, slide down chutes and flumes or even jump from great heights.
Located near Loch Laggan, the beauty of this canyon is to be admired. You will have plenty of time to enjoy it, but if you are interested in an exhilarating expedition, you will have around two hours to explore the Oova.
In terms of a challenge, this is perfect for intermediate-level participants, so you don't need to be an expert, but some experience and willingness to take part will help. Any difficulties you face will be eased significantly by one of our fully qualified instructors guiding you on this experience.
Our instructors hold some of the highest certifications you can achieve in their field, so you will be in the safest of hands, but you will have even more belief in their expertise after they deliver some important safety instructions and get you geared up with all the necessary safety equipment including a helmet, buoyancy aid, wetsuit with the boots to match and swim short to wear over the top.
It is essential that you can swim confidently to join this session, whatever your age or experience level is, this price is aimed at those between 10 and 16, but we make this session very accessible with price options for adults also available.
Confidence is not only a key factor with swimming but also when it comes to the most daunting but most rewarding aspects of this canyoning session; the 20 ft jump and abseil down a 40ft waterfall are what you could call the main events, the thrills and adrenaline they provide are hard to explain but euphoric would come close but your instructor will be on hand providing ample motivation and instilling you with the confidence to take on any challenge.

This activity is perfect for adults over 17 who may have some experience or can swim confidently. Check out the youth equivalent for ages 10 -16.
Your instructor will guide you every step of the way, providing insightful feedback and instil the confidence within you to challenge yourself in a safe manner, which the safety briefing beforehand will help with, along with all the safety equipment we provide, including helmets, buoyancy aids, wetsuits, wetsuits boots and shorts to wear on top.
