Full Day Canoe Hire(18+) From Lucksall to Ross

To take an 18-mile trip through the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, all you need to do is hire our canoes, and tranquillity awaits!

This full-day canoe hire from Lucksall to Ross has all you could desire from a relaxing adventure, the serenity of River Wye, the opportunity to relax and even stop off for a picnic and plenty of local sights to explore, particularly five former railway bridges which represent the trading history on the river.

The adventure should take around 6 to 8 hours to plenty of see and do, with some areas more challenging than others to paddle through, so this will be excellent canoeing practice to boost your skills, starting with the calm rapid of Lee Brink after passing Fownhope then you must paddle around a big loop that will see you move past Ballingham and into the steeper territories of Caplor Woods.

As you have fun paddling, you soon find yourself heading towards Carey Islands and onto the stunning village of Hoarwithy, where you can stop at The New Harp Inn for a nice lunch and refresh or at a little beach spot of your own for a picnic.

When ready, you should head downstream through the villages of Sellack and past the Court Gardens of How Caple, then onto the hamlet of Hole-in-the-Wall and soon after, you will see your destination, the idyllic town of Ross-on-Wye set beautifully above the river.

Your vessel for this exciting expedition will be one of our premium canoes, which, when hired, come with a paddle and buoyancy aid.
