Microlight Full Day Flying Course in Upminster

Prepare to level up your pilot skills and experience a full-day microlight flying course in Upminster.

If you have tasted the sweet freedom of flying on more than one occasion, you might be starting to take this hobby seriously and want to acquire your pilot's license; we want to help you do that and have the course to guide you in the right direction.

This one-day course will send you soaring over Essex and beyond in the future, as will your skills and flying knowledge, making it the ultimate stepping stone to one day becoming a licensed pilot.

During the course, there will be two flights of about 80 minutes each, so you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and put your skills to the test; this will be hugely beneficial practice that will transform you into a superior pilot.

We start this course, as we do for all of our experiences at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster, so locals will get the chance to see the area from a unique new perspective, and visitors can see as much as possible in one day from the best possible vantage point.

Sitting alongside you through this exciting activity will be one of our qualified instructors, constantly providing essential tips and professional insights, including all the necessary information for the NPPL and answering any questions you have; this is particularly important for gaining your license. This will also cover Syllabus exercises 1-2-3. Joining the NPPl course also comes with a free logbook.

As well as insight, you will receive constant encouragement and quickly gauge the strong passion our experienced instructors have for teaching students to fly; you show you are in the best hands and will leave this experience having significantly benefited from them guiding and helping you.

We have extensive experience flying microlights, and we use the Pipistrel Alpha Trainer for this course. It is an exceptionally mobile aircraft with modern constructions and is perfect for learning to fly.

We will brief you before the session and debrief you after the course to keep you well-informed and at ease.

We want as many people to benefit from our course as possible, but to fly with us, you must be medically fit, weigh at most 14.5 Stone and be no taller than 6.2 feet. You should arrange a session with us ahead of time, but this can be subject to change due to weather conditions, so we will carefully assess the weather beforehand and inform you of any changes to the session.
